Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GoldFX Trader ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the GoldFX Trader mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). GoldFX Trader is a paper-trading (simulation) app — it does not handle real money, real funds, or real brokerage accounts. By using GoldFX Trader, you agree to this policy.

1. Information We Collect

• Name & email address — used to create your account, log you in, and send verification / password-reset codes (OTP) by email.
• Password — stored only as a salted one-way hash; we can never see your actual password.
• Trading activity — your virtual balance and simulated trade history (all practice data with no monetary value).
• Optional top-up records — if you make an optional ₹100 top-up for extra virtual balance, the payment is processed by Razorpay / Google Play and we receive only a payment/order reference to confirm it. We never receive your card or bank details.
• Advertising & device data — when ads are shown, Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising identifier and related data to serve and measure ads (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and secure your account and log you in.
• To send email verification and password-reset codes.
• To store your virtual balance and simulated trade history.
• To confirm optional top-up payments and credit virtual balance.
• To improve, maintain, secure, and support the Service.

3. Login & Email OTP

We verify your email address using a one-time code sent by email through an SMTP email provider. Only your email address is used for the purpose of delivering and verifying the code.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

GoldFX Trader uses Google AdMob to show ads. Google may collect and use data (such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and ad-interaction data) to provide and personalize ads. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy:

5. Market Data

Live and historical prices shown in the app are fetched from public market-data sources (e.g. Yahoo Finance) for simulation purposes only. Prices may be delayed or approximate and must not be relied upon for real trading decisions.

6. Optional Payments

The optional ₹100 top-up adds virtual practice balance only — it does not purchase real currency, securities, or trading capital. Payments are handled by Razorpay / Google Play; we only receive a payment reference to confirm the top-up and never store your payment-method details.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run GoldFX Trader — our email/SMTP provider (email address, for OTP), Google AdMob (advertising data), and the payment processor (payment reference for optional top-ups) — or where required by law.

8. Data Retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data except where we must retain limited records (for example, payment references for the optional top-up) to comply with legal, tax, or financial obligations.

9. Account & Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time from our Delete Account page or by emailing bilalmalik1561@gmail.com from your registered email. We will process your request within 30 days.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and accounts are authenticated with signed tokens. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11. Not Financial Advice

GoldFX Trader is an educational simulator. Nothing in the app — including AI-generated signals — is financial, investment, or trading advice. See our Terms.

12. Children's Privacy

GoldFX Trader is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
